Fundamentals of existing numerical approaches to solve kinematics and dynamics of mechanical systems. Rules for a correct multibody modeling of systems, from simple to complex level. Simulation accuracy and result interpretation. Techniques to model flexible bodies and check results. Cams: kinematical analysis and design rules (or “Modeling of systems featuring dry friction”). Synthesis of mechanisms using numerical optimization techniques.
