INTERNATIONAL CAE POSTER AWARD 2021 turns 10 years

The competition recognizes and rewards the creative use of CAE technology by universities or research centers around the world in order to bridge the gap between academia and industry, providing a forum to connect young talent with industrial companies that have a growing need for these skills.

The tenth edition of the competition will again be held as part of the International CAE Conference and Exhibition, which takes place in a hybrid format this year, from November 17 to 19, 2021. This year presents an exciting new opportunity to present your projects to an even wider and more international audience and to interact with the participants, thanks to the features of the hybrid event's ICT platform.

Participation is free and is open to students, graduates, researchers and faculty members from universities and research centers.

The 5 best posters will be awarded and will receive a cash prize offered by the sponsors of the competition.

INTERNATIONAL CAE POSTER AWARD 2020

The 2020 edition of Poster Award contest had the support of TCN Consortium (promotor of the contest), EnginSoft, SIMAI and Elysium, to award the best young researchers from national and international Universities and Research Centres.

INTERNATIONAL CAE POSTER AWARD 2019

The contest open to all students, graduates, researchers and faculty members from academic institutes and research centres with the dual purposes of recognizing excellence and innovation, and bridging the gap between academia and industry.

"Growing collaboration between academia and industry and public institutions is fundamental to create a cohesive and credible response to today’s urgent challenges. The Poster Awards are just one more area where the International CAE Conference facilitates and supports these initiatives. This year 49 projects were selected, over 6,500 votes were received online for the projects and the five finalists were selected by a panel of judges from industry and academia," stated Stefano Odorizzi, CEO of EnginSoft, one sponsor of the iniziative.

The 2018 edition of Poster Award contest had the support of recognised institutions to award the best young researchers from national and international Universities and Research Centres.

With over 300 submitted projects, almost 50 of them reached the finals and five outstanding posters demonstration the use simulation in new emerging scenarios were presented with a prize.

The 2017 edition of Poster Award contest had the support of recognised institutions: CISM, Intellimech, NAFEMS, SIMAI, TechNet Alliance, The Apulian Aerospace District, EnginSoft and TCN Consortium, to award the best young researchers from national and international Universities and Research Centres.

With over 300 submitted projects, almost 50 of them reached the finals and five outstanding posters demonstration the use simulation in new emerging scenarios were presented with a prize.

 

TCN CAE Conferences

TCN is a consortium of companies and research institutes whose mission is to transfer cutting edge technologies to the industry world by promoting high-level education and knowledge sharing between University and Industry.

TCN - CAE Conferences were end-user oriented conferences in the fields of engineering design and production process optimization. The goal of the TCN-CAE series of conferences is to periodically bring together researchers, scientists, engineers and managers working in industry and in academia and active in the fields of applied computational science and engineering.

Fluid-dynamics Master

TCN organized a Fluid-Dynamics master with the aim of providing basic knowledge and methodological tools to address the research, development, analysis and design of fluididynamic problems of industrial interest .

The course was developed with a strong computational connotation to provide basic mathematical and numerical techniques for learning and the calculation and simulation tools directly applicable to industrial analysis and design problems.

Mini Masters

TCN also organized mini-masters in fluid dynamics and Mechatronics.

The FLYDODINAMIC MINIMASTER has been organized as an intensive, residential training for a total duration of 4 weeks / 8 hours a day / 6 days a week.
The work program was structured according to 3 different specializations: Heat Transfer and Combustion, Process Fluid Dynamics, Advanced Engineering Design and Analysis
The aim was to develop the operational skills needed to effectively address problem solving Of industrial fluid dynamics, using the numerical simulation tools of current use in industry and providing the methodological basis for understanding the placement of these tools in modern development and project processes.

However, the MCECATRONICA MINIMASTER (duration: one week), addressing the issues surrounding the mechatronic systems that constitute the controlled actuation devices used to generate and control mechanical quantities such as position, velocity, pressure, flow rate, Strength, etc., present in mechanical servosystems and industrial automation.
In particular, the components that constitute a generic servosystem, such as interface components and power control, were analyzed, considering typical electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic implementations, rotary and linear actuation components, sensing components, describing constructional and structural typologies Functional tools of relief of typical physical and mechanical quantities.
